How shall i get mumbai`s car owners telephone or mobile numbers?

go2mumbai lol

Which significant event in history occured before the telephone, light bulb, gas power car and even the airplane?

was invented?|||Nothing. Absolutely nothing happened before the light bulb. When God said "let there be light" he was referencing that invention. People didn't develope a means to communicate, create a sense of society, cultivate crops, domesticate animals, construct buildings, manifest religion, establish governments, have wars, revolt again oppressors, or explore the world until the light bulb was perfected in 1879.|||Steam engines (heat engines using boiling water to produce mechanical motion) have a long history, going back at least 2000 years. Early devices were not practical power producers, but more advanced designs producing usable power have become a major source of mechanical power over the last 300 years, enabling the industrial revolution, beginning with applications for mine water removal using vacuum engines. In general usage, the term 'steam engine' can refer to integrated steam plants such as railway steam locomotives and portable engines, or may refer to the machinery alone, as in the beam engine and stationary steam engine. Specialized devices such as steam hammers and steam pile drivers are dependent on steam supplied from a separate boiler.|||The earliest of these is about 1870, so you are talking about history from the invention of the written word to that date. About 10000 years as opposed to 140 years from that date to the present.

I'm not going to attempt to summarize 10000 years of history, you can start at the referenced web site and go on from there.

i will mention agriculture, domestic animals, bronze and then iron tools and weapons, writing, drawing, construction, etc.

.|||Lots of them

Maybe your question relates to the first documented, or the first patented invention.

I know that time keeping devices have been around for quite a while. Way more than 2009 years! Look at Jewish calendar.

The word “computer” only came about the electronic storage of information.

There were numerous machines performing the very same duty that today’s computers do. They were mechanical devices operating with cams and gears.

Before that could be done someone had to invent the wheel.

Hope this properly answers your question|||The creation of the human rights, democracy, the scientific method, all the things you listed above are the caused by what humans did before they invented those things.|||I would say the printing press invented by Johannes Gutenberg around 1450.|||Leland Stanford's creating the railroad|||Many, US declared independence, for example.|||You must be more specific.

There were countless such events.

Where can I buy body products that are in car product cantainers. Ex. Shampoo in motor oil container?

My boyfriend is a mechanic and he loves loves loves car. Last year for Valentines Day I found a shampoo and body wash set for him but it looked like motor oil! He loved it. So I would like to buy him so more items that are in car product containers but really something for the body. Or any other items like car telephones, lamps, mugs, etc. Please help me. Thanks alot.|||I like this, it's perfectly for me. http://rds.yahoo.com/**http%3a//www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GXZ5JM?ie=UTF8%26amp;tag=weisho-20%26amp;linkCode=as2%26amp;camp=1789%26amp;creative=390957%26amp;creativeASIN=B000GXZ5JM This high yield foaming auto shampoo bursts into mounds of suds when introduced to water and agitated. The bubbles work to encapsulate oily residue and dirt even before your mitt touches the paint. This rich foam - combined with our own advanced cleaning agent- leaves your vehicle looking and feeling fantastically clean and bright. When blasted through a foam gun, DP Xtreme is at its best because it s the only car shampoo formulated for foam guns. The high soap to water ratio produced by a foam gun allows this intense shampoo to produce FROTHY FOAM unlike any shampoo you ve used before. The high viscosity of DP Xtreme allows the suds to cling to the vehicle in order to begin grabbing dirt and oil on contact. With the help of a soft, clean sponge or mitt, you ll achieve an Xtreme clean with this super-sudsing car wash.

I am a 16 year old who smashed into a telephone pole. [car was totaled] am i going to loose my license?

i live in ohio, i was just going too fast on a gravel road. i had 2 underage friends in the car. they are 15 and 14. noone was hurt. i am being charged with failure to controle. i have had my license for 4 months now, and am i going to loose my license? do i need a lawyer? what can i expect? anything helps!!!|||Yes, you will almost certainly lose your license. Do you think you should be driving? The courts will enlighten you that you should not.|||Get a lawyer.|||Just be glad you (and your friends) aren't all 6 feet under. Losing your license is the least of your worries, your insurance will triple and stay that way until you turn 25.

How fast does a car have to go to break a telephone pole in half?

Between 55 to 60 miles per hour...|||If the car is on the ground and breaks the pole, then the car will break the pole either at the ground, where the car hits, or somewhere in between. The top piece will be much larger than the bottom piece. It will not break in half.

To break the pole in half, the car has to become airborne, and hit the pole in the middle, at the top, or somewhere in between. To get a car airborne and up to a height of at least half the height of a telephone pole requires a great deal of speed under normal conditions. However, it could drive off the edge of a bridge at any speed, and starting from a point higher than the top of the telephone pole, strike the pole near the top during its fall, and break the pole that way.|||i have to laugh at the first answer, sure it will not be split in half but you are asking if the car would separate the two parts at a set speed. i dont know of a speed that would cause that to happen, although i have seen the evidence there after. the car would be severely damaged and the driver most likely dead. ill pick a number out of thin air though 75 mph. those poles are so very dry.|||it depends on the car and what the pole was made of|||I'm sure it can do it at about 300 miles an hour.

Unlicensed friend wrecks my car without insurance, hits a telephone pole, flees the scene.?

Ok so my I let my unlicensed friend drive my uninsured car and he flipped it into a light pole, he then fled the scene. My car was paid for and what not but Im not sure what to do when the cops come asking or whatever follows that. I dont want my friend going to jail or anything and I know Im at a total loss on my car. What all can happen to him, me and what not.|||ok so indeed. Lets see.... You let some unlicensed guy drive your uninsured car, he wrecked it and now....after the fact, you want to know what can happen to you? Geez...You have lost your car, will most likely lose your license, you will most likely be fined, If/when you ever get another car and want to insure it, you will pay an extremely high premium if you can find a company that will even insure you. I suggest you should have thought about "what can happen to me" BEFORE you loaned your uninsured car to an unlicensed driver....so ok|||Lots can and will happen. But will it happen is anybody's guess. I'll presume your friend was sober. But if he wasn't, there are a host of other charges that can happen.

.

1. You can be cited for allowing an unlicensed driver operate your car.

2. You can be cited for allowing your uninsured car onto the highway (I presume no liability insurance?). If you have liability but no collision %26amp; comprehensive, then you've lost the car unless your friend will pay for damages (sure, when cows fly).

3. Your friend can be cited for driving without a license.

4. Your friend can be cited for driving without insurance.

5. You will be sued for damages to the utility pole if it needs to be replaced.

6. Your friend could be charged with unauthorized use of an automobile (a misdemeanor charge that is slightly less severe than Grand Theft, Auto which is a felony).

7. It's too late to report the car as stolen (so that you can avoid damage claim to the utility pole).

8. If you have cheap insurance, you still may have to pay for the utility pole because your insurance company only covers you when driving, not your friend.

Just another note: If your friend was drunk and killed someone, you could be held negligently liable and face prison time as an accessory for allowing a drunk, unlicensed driver operate your vehicle. I won't even let my own adult children drive my car. I'll drive them if they need to go somewhere.|||Pretty stupid for not carrying insurance on your car and then let a unlicensed driver, drive your car. Most states require liability insurance or it is a felony. You! have now lost your drivers license pay a hefty fine and will have to file and SR 22 and placed into and insurance risk pool, which is not cheap! Several hundred dollars. You! will be given and citation and have to appear before a judge, Those power poles are not cheap! Around $2,000.00 or so. You! will be ordered by the judge to pay for that pole and any other damages. Your, friend will also be ordered to appear in court.|||A lot depends on where you live and your friends previous record and yours.

Jail time is possible because leaving the scene is a misdemeanor but probably nobodies going to jail as long as you don't accuse him of having stolen your car. You're going to be in worse shape than him as far as what this is going to cost. Besides losing your car you will be fined for having an uninsured car which could be as much as $1,000. If the pole was damaged you will need to pay the cost to replace it or repair it. That could be quite a few thousand dollars.

Depending on the circumstances you might be able to sue your friend for some of the damage. That would depend on how negligent he was. Your lending him the car assumed he would drive responsibly. If he was breaking the law he might become become at least partially responsible. You might want to speak to a lawyer about that.

My guess is your (ex?) friend won't even admit to being in the car so everything might come down on you..|||"I let my unlicensed friend drive my uninsured car" - that means all financial responsibility for the accident is yours.

What can happen is you can be ticketed and have your registration suspended for having no insurance. You will have to pay for the replacement of the light pole, if necessary (and they are not cheap).

Your friend can be arrested for hit and run and fined for driving without a license.|||I would suggest you have an attorney handle your contacts with the police. If the police talk to you before that, tell them you will only talk through an attorney and haven't secured one yet. Ask for their card so you can give it to your attorney.

My bet is that your attorney will tell the cops that you did let your friend use the car and that you neither admit nor deny knowing your friend was unlicensed. That should mostly keep you out of trouble.

Do not, under any circumstances, lie to the police *ever*. If you feel like you are going to, or might, terminate the interview *immediately* and say that you need a lawyer's advice to continue.

It is very important that you be *unequivocal*. Do not say "I think I should talk to a lawyer". (What does it matter what you think?) Do not say "I should talk to a lawyer first". (They already know that you *should* talk to a lawyer first.) Say "I am terminating this interview. I will not talk further without advice of an attorney.")

Your invocation of your rights *MUST* be unambiguous, complete, and precise. Do not say, "I need to talk to a lawyer before answering that question" because they'll just ask more questions and try to trick you. Be polite, but do not use ambiguous or weak language.|||Yes, it is you in the frame as the owner of the vehicle. You should really expect a little jail time for your multitude of violations - no insurance, fleeing the scene, being an accessory (allowing an unlicensed driver to drive your car)|||they're coming to YOU for money for damages and they're gonna need to be told who was actually driving...the driver is going to jail and you will too, if you don't take responsibility for what you BOTH did.|||The police are going to ask who you gave the keys to. If you get caught lying it's an obstruction of justice charge. Don't end up in jail is my advice.|||You could face a few charges and also will be responsible for the cost and installation of the pole.

I have a home telephone cable on my car but I dont know what it is for.. it came with it.. can someone help me

After I bought my car i noticed it ha a home phone cable by the visor, i wish I could know what it was used for or what uses can it have.. THANKS|||It is for a radar detector. Probably a Valentine 1, that is what I have. It is called hard wiring, where a cable is run up the car to around the visor/rear view to power a radar detector stealthily. The Telephone number of a Dealer for Key-less remote and Key for 1999 Lincoln Town car In Southern California?

to find Lincoln dealers in your area go to:

http://www.lincoln.com/shoptools/find_de鈥?/a>

You may also find what you're looking for (maybe less expensive) at a Ford dealer.

http://www.fordvehicles.com/dealerships/鈥?/a>

If you are looking to buy extra remotes, you should use a Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer as you will need to match the EXACT part number for your Lincoln Town car.

The remotes will also need to be 'programed'

You can actually do that yourself %26amp; it is quite simply explained in your owners manual.

In case you don't have a manual, I'll provide the link to download it. It is free %26amp; in pdf formatso you can easily save it to your computer.

Extra keys are also available %26amp; will also have to be programmed. They are about $30 dollars just for the key. Programming is extra, but again i advise seeing a Ford dealer for a more competitive price.

Car Data Finance telephone call?

I've just had a phone call from a company called (something) Car Data saying that they need to take the reg of my car, as they have someone wanting to buy it. Apparently these people want to purchase it via finance and this company need to do a HPI check.

To be honest this sounds really dodgy, i asked the guy to call me back at 5.

has anyone else had something similar?|||It's sensible to do an HPI check before buying a car, but doing it this way around sounds odd. Why the h*ll would someone want to check it before they've even seen it, and. more to the point, why would anyone try to arrange finance on something they've not seen?

I've got my doubts too. I wouldn't disclose any information, your car may well be about to be cloned.|||Is the car for sale? If not it's a scam. If it is it's a scam (because the person buying will already know the number)

.|||have you got an ad in the local paper saying your selling it then? Sounds dodgy to me who's to say they aint going to put your registration on an Identical car. You could dial 1471 and you might get their phone number and if you do put in the the search browsers and see what comes back.|||if you are trying to sell youre car in a weekly.its common for them to phone you.just tell them you are not interested.they will buy youre car for less than its worth.stick to selling it privately.if you give them youre reg youll be on the phone all the time with them.dont give them any info about the car.sell it as you planned to.|||BE CAREFUL! There is a loophole in the law that is something along the lines of if you present a claim to the DVLA that you are now the legal owner of a vehicle, the DVLA will write to whoever is showing up as the current owner, but if they receive no reply in a certain length of time, they will sign the car over to the enquirer and the car becomes legally theirs. At least, I remember reading that, but it may have been tightened up now. My point is, don't give your reg number out (and well done for masking it) to anyone unless you've sold them the car and you have the money. If this loophole is still there, the DVLA may well write to you, but you know what the postal service is like in the UK, and your car may then not be your own! Does that make sense? I hope so!

I'm looking for a Software Knowledge base Database that can solve mechanical car problems over the telephone

We provide roadside assistance service and our customers call in with a car wreckage problem, base on client/drive input our call center agent can determine the fail and send the aproppiate technician/mechanic.|||There are 'A.I.' systems that can do that. Whether one exists for your specific purpose, I don't know.

If you have actual people manning the phones, you may be able to do that by setting up a spreadsheet with the appropriate info and hyperlinks your agents access while on the phone.

The saturn car commercial...the telephone poles turn into trees and the oil machines turn into rocking horses.

the point of the commercial is to "help the environmet." Industrial objects turn into things like trees, flowers, rocking horses, and at one point the car turns into a sail boat.... (P.S. It sounds like a man and woman singing the song.)|||I'm sorry. I don't really see a question here. I suppose they're saying that Saturn is more environmentally friendly than other car manufacturers. I've never looked up their emissions rating or their fuel efficiency, but those are the only 2 ways I can think of that the cars themselves would be.....I don't know about the actual manufacturing plant. It's an ingenious idea, though, because the commercial implies all of that without ever really saying it, so if none of it's true, no one can get them for false advertising.|||Perhaps thay are using subliminal messages to force us to put sails on our automobiles :)

Whats the best way to remove a telephone antennae from the rear window of a car without damaging the window?

It is a 1993 chevy lumina coupe|||I assume you're talking about a antenna stuck to the outside of the glass? Clean around the antenna base so you don't scratch the glass with dirt. I suggest using a paint scraper with a razor blade and work slowly around the edges. Take your time, it isn't going to just scrape right off. As you penetrate the adhesive, squirt a little 90% rubbing alcohol into the area to help dissolve it and keep it from resticking to the glass.|||If it's a normal cellular antenna from that era, it's just stuck on... a putty knife and slow time working your way between the glass and the antenna works wonders... may have to take a razor blade to clean up any mess afterwards...

On inside do the same thing, but watch as some leave a hole when they tint cars for that antenna and don't scratch the lines for the defroster if you have one.|||its built into the glass sorry|||i own a shop, and if this is one that was added later on ,and it was one of the ones that they actually drilled a hole for ,it can be removed, but you have to have the plug kit for it ,or your going to have a hole there to deal with,if its one of the built in type ones it will have to remain there on it ,but it wont hurt anything at all with it being there, good luck.|||I would recommend taking a hair dryer and getting the base of the antenna very hot. Then grab it with a pair of plyers and gently twist it and it will come off. The rear view mirror on my windshield sometimes comes off by itself when it gets real hot outside. The Adhesive will break down with a lot of heat. Then you can scrape the residual glue off with a razor blade.

Hope this helps.

If someone wraps an electric car around a telephone pole, is it too dangerous to use the 'jaws of life'?

NO|||Ummm...No.|||Electric cars and hybrids are designed to be easily disconnected from the battery by emergency personnel.|||Batteries like altairnanno nanosafe http://www.b2i.us/profiles/investor/full鈥?/a> %26amp; A123 are designed to fail safe

see the real world test crash of the killacycle http://www.killacycle.com drag bike http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfVX71YqP鈥?/a>

But they wouldn't normaly try or need to cut into the batteries, it would be like trying to cut into an engine block.

The batteries are usually under the floor to keep the centre of gravity down so the ocupant is very unlikely to be trapped by them. Because of the low centre of gravity electric cars are unlikely to roll over see http://www.commutercars.com/

An electric car should be much safer for occupants than infernal combustion - better traction control %26amp; hanling, fewer moving metal bits to break, no liquids to spill or burn; smoother %26amp; quieter too, so less stress %26amp; resulting road rage.

And safer for others , thousands die each year due to exahust particulates which reduce life expectancy in southern england by 8-10 years.|||No as the battery should have a crash disconnect and also fused...|||Toyota didn't realize this would be a problem until after the fact.

What happens if I hit a telephone Pole (by accident) to aviod hitting a speeding car in an alley way?

I didn't hitt the other driver, but he gave me his licence and I got his info. What should I do? Can I sue him, do I have a possible case. More bad news, i was unaware that my insurance was cancelled the previous month. Other Notes, I was carted away in an ambulance and the police called a toe truck to tow the car. I took photo's of the area and where my car hit also. BTW- I own a 97 Nissan|||You're pretty much up the creek w/o a paddle in my opinion.|||The police make their report, and you better hope that you have insurance because replacing that pole will cost you at least $10000. I worked for an electric company long ago and that back then was the replacement cost of the pole alone- not including labor for swapping over phone lines to the new pole, and any and all other costs involved, including the mandatory fines, etc. You should have hit that car instead lol.|||I have yet to figure out how a person can be unaware insurance has been cancelled! Insurance companies cancelling for cause do so by registered letter. The only way you don't receive a registered letter is to ignore the notice, or refuse to sign for it. The only way it doesn't go to your address is if you have given a wrong address to the insurance company. If a person has payments coming directly out of the bank account, a perusal of the statement would show that the payments are no longer being withdrawn, or have bounced.

You didn't hit the other vehicle, so you have had a single vehicle at fault accident, with no insurance to pay for it. Sorry.|||no one is at fault, but YOU. you didn't have control of your car. if he was speeding in the alley, you saw there was not enough room, you should have stopped and let him hit you, then he would be at fault. i'm afraid you've got a problem that only you will pay for.|||wow u should not have moved.........idiot|||tell your insurance company even though its canceled, your clearly not responsible, he is so his insurance company will have to pay for it...|||If the other car was not hit in the crash you are probably libel for the damage done.It doesn't seem fair but that's what I have been told.

When was the first telephone and motor car invented?

In 1876 Alexander Graham Bell invented his "electrical speech machine," which we now call a telephone.

In 1885 Karl Benz attached a four-stroke internal combustion engine to a three-wheeled carriage, and thus was born the first of the modern automobiles.

Gottlieb Daimler from Germany designed the first modern petrol-driven internal combustion engine for the car. In 1885 he fitted the engine to a bicycle and created the prototype of the present day motorcycle. A year later, in 1886, Daimler fitted one of his engines to a horse-carriage and ran the created the first four-wheeled motor car in history.

What courtesy car comapany do Egg Car Insurance deal with and what is their telephone number?

I had an accident and need a courtesy car till i can get my car fixed at the garage. I haven't managed to book my car in yet but the boot on mine is damaged and i dont really want to drive around in it until its fixed so need a courtesy car. I just cant remember the name of the company egg use for courtesy cars!!|||not sure, but here's a list of the most popular ones - maybe it'll jog your memory? -

Flash Rental Ltd - Birmingham

Ideal Car Hire Ltd - Leyton, London

Concept Vehicle Solutions - Blackburn

J E Recovery - Lincoln

Galaxy Courtesy Cars Ltd - Weymouth

Eurodrive Vehicle Rental - Tooting

Alpha Injury Claims - Nelson|||The insurance companies claim line should be helping you with this. If your policy has this option and your car cannot be driven then the help line should give you the relevant information when you discussed the claim with them.

Be careful about timing as some courtesy cars on the policies are for a limited time of two to three weeks, so if your car is still safe and drivable they may advise that you just have the car for the repair period.|||Firstly you need to find out if your entitled to a courtesy car as not all insurance policies cover this. You need to contact your insurance company and they will advise you. If you do not, and you get a car you may have to pay for it yourself.

Also you would only be entitled to one if your vehicle was not roadworthy or it went into a repair shop.|||They use various companies, depending on location. They will arrange a courtesy car, if your cover permits it, you don't do it directly yourself.|||Call them and ask. It may differ depending upon where you are located.

How does the telephone in the Mercedes car work?

CL-2001. the old tele in the car. how does it work ? do i need to put a sim chip in it ? or is it wireless or by bluetooth? does the phone caller name appear on the screen?|||Is there a phone in there now ( a phone was a dealer installed option, it wasn't factory standard item )? If so, just register it. If there isn't, you'll have to install a phone integration kit and then buy a Bluetooth puck so you can use any Bluetooth enabled phone with the system in the car.|||Try the manual for the car, if you have lost it just type it in ebay or something and im sure something would pop up.

Someone hit my car in private parking lot and I have their name, telephone and address?

A lady hit my car in a private parking lot. I have her name, telephone #, type of car and address. How can I get her insurance info and plate #?|||Give YOUR insurance company all the info you got. They will call the other party for you and get her insurance info. Let your insurance company handle everything. That is what you pay them for.|||You better hope that she gives you her insurance info. Since you failed to write the plate number while getting her personal info, you could be SOL. Also no police were called to the scene, which in a parking lot is common, but on a police report, guess what, they give name/address/make/model, plate # and insurance info on the report.

You should have asked her at the scene for her insurance card which would have had the name of the company and a 800# to file a claim, but you only got personal info, and she could decide to not take any calls from you, thus no info.

If you have collision coverage on your car, call YOUR insurance company and file a claim, then if they pay, they will go after her for reimbursement.

good luck|||Did you card (ID) the lady first?

Did you just forget to get the info?

What state are you in?

Call her, and ask for her insurance information, if she gives you the run around. Call the police (not 911) and explain what happened. Insurance companys have to report who/what the insure to the DMV. The DMV has the insurance information, as do the police. They can help you if they care enough.|||Call the police with this info.|||I need to know the laws of your state.

What is the bi-weekly cost for car and transportation, telephone, and parking?

First I always get confused on this Bi weekly thing. That is every two weeks, right?

I think you need to clarify a few things. Why a car and transportation. Isn't the car your transportation?

Is the phone a cell phone to go along with the car or regular phone?

Are you looking for a car recommendation to keep the cost down or do you have a car that is already bought and paid for. Or do you have a loan on one?

What about insurance?

Sorry. Lots of questions rather than answers:(

Crashed my car into a telephone pole?

I told everyone the pole was a transformer that jumped out in front of my car, and that the telephone wires were actually it's central nervous system. I told them they needed to disect the pole in order to prove my theory. I later went to where the pole was at night and burned it. Can i get arrested for that?|||hmmm, i really hope you are full of **** here, or just drunk.|||You seem to be mentally handicapped, or are just posting for attention.

In either case, reported.

Follow the rules next time....|||Yes.

1. You can be arrested for burning the telephone pole.

2. If they believe that you believed what you told them, then you will be sent to a mental hospital for treatment for your "delusions".

3. If they believe that you lied to the police and knew that what you said was not true, then you will be arrested for telling a lie to the police.

Cancelling my telephone and car insurance contract?

I am going travelling for a year and so no longer need a mobile phone contract or car insurance.

I have been told that i have to pay 3 times my monthly line rental in order to cancel the phone, and at the moment i'm not sure what the policy is for my car insurance.

Is there any way of not having to pay these hefty cancellation charges? A loophole of some kind?

Thanks|||You're stuck with it, I'm afraid. Pay the three months line rental - surely it cant be that much and would be a weight off your mind - something sorted and out of the way before you leave. With regard to the car insurance, usually (but not always, so you have to check with your company) you will get a refund (and occasionally they may deduct an administration charge - but not always). You'll have to make a phone call to clarify that situation. Good luck when you go travelling and stay safe.|||If you signed a contract for a year's line rental then you have to pay up. Three months' rental sounds like a reasonable offer to me. As for your car insurance, you can cancel it - whether you get a refund is up to your insurance company. Phone them and ask.|||If you signed into a term which may be 3 years or whatever it was, you would have to stick to it. Either that or pay the cancellation charge.|||do not cancel your car insurance...talk to your insurance agent...you need to at least have minimum coverage as a licensed driver...if you don;t when you come back then you will have to go on high risk insurance because you were not insured for 6 mos or more...i just found this out when i started working for an insurance company.

Is a car, telephone and computer be considered as inanimate objects?

If it doesn't breathe, it's inanimate.|||yes unless the computer is a robot and is sentient and can walk and talk|||yes|||yes because without human interaction they cannot move or act by themselves.

In america I get car with job with telephone?

hello I am Munir Bahat I come to america to job. I work telephone and call persons and ask them to buy product. question --i buy car with job 10 dollar?|||If you save your money, you can. Or you can buy a used car for cheaper.|||NO

If a telephone poll fell on my car and damaged it who fixes it?

I was driving and a telephone poll landed on my car. I infortunately didnt renew my insurance. I live in Houston and i believe the poll was weakened by the recent hurricane. But am i out of luck?|||If the pole fell because you hit it with your car, then yes, you are out of luck. If someone else hit the pole, causing it to fall on your car, then their insurance should pay. If the pole just happened to fall on its own as you drove by (not likely), then the utility company should pay. It would really help if you have witnesses for this one.|||You need to ask the town or look on the pole itself and see which company owns it. In my area some are owned by the phone company and others by the electric company. Sue the owner. |||The owner of the poll should be responsible for the damages.|||This would be called an act of God and the city would not be responsible for your cars damages.....|||I thought I was the only one!!!! I live in Houston and my car was parked in the street with NO insurance. A telephone poll fell on the back of my car. The city police came out and gave me a ticket for expired insurance. Can you believe that!!!

In my case the pole was maintained by Oncore. They are paying for the damage. I was also able to get my insurance back-dated and my ticket was dismissed, THANK GOD!

See who maintains your pole (probably Oncore). You are going to need to get your insurance back-dated for On core to pay. They refused to pay w/o proof of liability insurance.

Hope this helps.

Calculating car speed by telephone poles?

If a car is going 55 miles per hour on a road that has telephone poles along it that are 100 feet apart, how often ( in seconds ) will the car pass a pole? How about if the car speed is 60mph?|||[6]

55 mph=55x5280/60x60 ft /sec

=80.66 ft/sec

Time taken to pass a pole=time taken to travel 100 ft

=100/80.66 sec

=1.2397 or 1.24 sec

If the speed is 60 mph,the time taken would be

1.24x55/60=1.1366 sec or 1.14 sec

What if I hit a car and it hit a telephone pole and caused damage to it?

I was in the opposite lane with my blinker on the car in coming traffic flashed it lights at me but the car in the other lane it was a two lane road kept going and I crashed into it and it hit a telephone pole?|||The other driver is responsible not you. You only hit the pole because of the other person... So you win!|||If the telephone pole wires hit your car and are sparking, do NOT get out of your car. Call for some help. Then you need to jump out of your car, do not have one body part touching the car while the other touches the floor, you might get electrocuted. So jump away from the car as far as you can.

update:

I didn't know you were asking on whos fault it was, sorry lol. If you rear-ended them, the law will see it as your fault.|||In legal jargon, you hitting the other car was the "proximate cause of the injury" to the telephone pole. It's your fault and your responsibility to repair.|||The way the question is phrased, I couldn't tell who did what to whom.

Does anyone remember a pizza delievery company that delievered there pizza's in a car with a telephone on top?

when i was little possibly early 90's i am sure there was a company that would deliever pizza's in a car with a telephone on top that lit up!! no one seems to remember this did i just have a great imagination or does anyone else remember it???|||Yes, I remember it.

What year did the car, telephone, and electricity come about?

what year did each of them get invented|||The car was invented in 1886. The telephone was invented in 1876. Electricity began to be used regularly in 1880.|||You can put an almost exact year on the car, if you mean a vehicle propelled by an internal combustion engine running on petrol (gasoline) or similar volatile liquid, but electricity has always existed, and was investigated seriously from the late 1700s, for instance by Benjamin Franklin. Incidentally, the first long-distance car journey was carried out by a woman, the wife of the inventor Carl Benz.|||Interesting information can be found on line

How fast would a car have to be going to knock over a telephone pole?

I was in a car collision last night (car vs telephone pole). I was in the passenger seat so I have no clue how fast we were going but I am just curious how fast we would of had to be going in a Hyundai accent to take out a small telephone pole.

it wasn't a very thick pole but I was surprised that it snapped in half.|||Depends on:

Mass of car

Thickness of telephone pole

Condition of telephone pole

angle pole is struck

how well the pole is installed

Occasionally, telephone poles fall down from age, so it would be difficult to say for sure what exactly woudl do it.|||Just 10 MPH would do it. It's whiplash that snaps it. I'll bet the pole snapped about half way up and not actually where the car hit it didn't it?|||Car won't knock over a properly installed power pole. What normally happens is that the pole snaps off at it's weakest point. And that can happen at virtually any speed.|||Not that fast...40mph could do it
