How can I get my money back for a hire car that was not provided?

I recently rented a house in Spain from a friend of a friend (He is British citizen). He offered me a rental car through a business contact. I paid him E165 to get the deal done. I got nothing in return apart from evasive telephone repsonses at first, then nothing!


What are my options?|||If you have any receipt of the payment, you do have a claim against the person. If you have recorded you telephone conversation with that fellow, it again can be of help. If he is still attending your call, you can make him talk about the deal and can have a case.
